Happy environment
This article is about the Pensacola News Journal which stands for PNJ and how they went from a really bad place by losing the most staffers out of all of the company’s four papers in the state, to becoming one of the best papers by getting recognized for its efforts, and winning 16 prizes.

The author Susannah Nesmith argument is how fast they went from being  in a really bad place and not having any one working for them to journalists saying how much they are enjoying their work and love being apart of the NPJ newspaper. While the newspaper was in a really bad a major flood hit its community and the local jail exploded, they got a community leadership award for its coverage of the jail explosion. The NPJ started tackling important issues, like child abuse, invasive species, and the struggles of an old mill town.

Nesmith thinks that it is a challenge for a newsroom to not make staff fell overworked and stressed out and that giving reports a little freedom to do the work that they are passionate about instead of forcing them to keep “filling holes”. For graphic designer/web designer/animator/videographer they all need a little freedom to be able to do what they would like to do or else they will feel stressed about something they aren’t even passionate about anymore if they are being overworked. The writer in unclear about her opinion on what she thinks about the NPJ newspaper and how they are becoming a better newspaper.

I thought that this article was very well put together and very positive.

professional video

Professional Video
This project is about a professional video of our choice that we thought had a good meaning and a good video going along with it. For my video I chose Best Thing I Never Had by Beyoncé. The main focus of this video is Beyoncé singing. The story was told through this video is her telling us that she wanted someone so bad but it ended up not being the right choice for her, it was told by her singing her lyrics over why it was the best thing she never had. One element from this video that I would take contribute in our video is having the lighting good in all of the scenes and having clarity in what we are doing and what message we are trying to get across. One element I have already learned and has been applied to my video is not having bad jump scenes where you are in place and the next you are magically somewhere else. I think that the creators did very good in everything, good variety in scenes. I think that this work could improve in the way all of the shots are filmed and how fast they are from one place to another, but they were very smooth. Overall I thought this video was very well put together.

Procedure on how to go to the nurse

Procedure on how to go to the nurse
My video was a procedure on how to go to the nurse’s office, it shows you that you have to fill out your agenda, ask your teacher if you can go and having the teacher signing the agenda to let us go and some hallways you have to go through to get to the nurse’s office and then handing the nurse your planner and telling her what’s wrong.
This video is showing you the right way to go to the nurse’s office and what you need to have to be able to go. Making sure that the lighting is the same throughout the video, making sure there is no jump cuts, and making sure that our outfits are same if we are filming on a different day. The story was told through me and my 2 partners through a camera. One element that I have learned and put on this video is how to favorite clips so you can choose from the favorite section to make cutting your video faster. I think that the creator did a good job, telling us everything we needed to do and all of the information we needed to make our video. My work could improve if I was more organized and had thought things through a little more. I overall liked this project, I got to know 2 people that I didn’t really know before this project was assigned, I got more comfortable with final cut pro.
